Everything is now done

We got the vents put back in the ceilings today (they were in the wall that is now gone) so everything is done in the remodel. All that is left to completely finish the house is the kitchen, but that can wait. Our next major project is to turn the dining room into a showroom for Stagi Imagery, so we need to buy some new furnature and get some more prints framed and ready for display. I think we will take a few weeks off first and not even think about the house. Around the start of next month we will be ready to finish up that room and will post some shots of it.

Our goal is to have a very clean contemporary look to the room to really impress any clients coming over for consultation, I am getting excited to have it all done :)

House is coming together

The first coat of paint went on the columns today as well as some of the patch work on the ceiling where they had to cut out the old wall. It is all sealed in plastic today so we can't really get into the kitchen, but that's all good. They should be done painting tomorrow. Also the master bathroom (the seperate toilet room, not the shower room) was painted today and that entire room should be done tomorrow also.

Once these final touches are done everything will be looking like a house again not a construction area :)

Granny Goose

Here is a photo of me and my grandma (we call her the Goose). She normally hates taking photo's and I think I have more photo's of her with her hand covering her face than without, but if you get her in the right mood and give her some kisses she will giggle and smile like a little girl. She is 94 going to be 95 this August.

Columns are Done!

Things are really starting to look good, the columns are up and just need to be painted, but they really make the room look much larger and brighter.

2nd Column Up

Things are now getting moving, they braced the walls by adding some extra 2.4's in the ceiling and removed the old vents that were in the wall. The vents are going to now be in the ceiling one in the kitchen and one in the dining room.

The 2nd column went up today and they might be able to finish on Tuesday or Wednesday :)

I can't wait until this project is done and the dust from everything settles so things can get back to normal.

Magazine Style Album site updated

Awhile back I created a new site to showcase the Custom made Magazine Style wedding albums I do.
Finally it has been udpated with some more information about the different types of albums I have available and some more photo's.

First Column is up!

We are making progress now in the divider between the kitchen and living room. There is now one column up in place, and once the other 3 are up I think this is going to look great. Once a little more is done I will post some progress photo's online so everyone can check them out.

Busy Month

It's been awhile since I last posted, the last month has just been too busy.
Lisa and I are both busy working a lot right now and hopefully will be able to catch up over the next few weeks as things slow down a little. The house is still under construction with a wall missing seperating the kitchen and dining room. We are getting that finished up this week and everything should be finally done by the weekend.
