It's been awhile

It has been awhile since the last post, the last month has been crazy with the move and trying to get settled in. We moved everything out of the old house at the start of the month and had about 4 days to empty out the old house and put everything into the garage and downstairs room since the painters were just getting started on the upstairs rooms. The tenant moved into Mabie Ct on sept 5th so we were running around like crazy fixing last minute things and getting the place cleaned up.

We are getting back to normal now and have at least the bedrooms now painted and some stuff moved in. The garage is still pretty full of boxes but at least the rooms are done and we have a place to sleep now (after camping out in the living room for a week)

as you can see every room had wallpaper and popcorn ceililngs that had to come off.

Here are few more shots that I took the other day after dinner, just hanging out on the deck. You can also see the kitchen here we just removed the wallpaper and painted it a light yellow color, so not a major change but much better without the blue striped wallpaper.

It has been a lot of work to move in and get the new place in shape but really worth it. I love the view from the back deck, it is so relaxing to just sit there after dinner and take a few minutes to soak in the beauty that surrounds us. It gives us a nice refuge and forces you to just relax and slow down a bit.

We are still working on the downstairs and need to finish that wallpaper and paint, that should be done in about a week and I will post more "after" shots.
